The Design Process
When it comes to the design process, there are three options:
1) Pick a design from the store or gallery and have it modified and/or duplicated.
2) Pick a design from the store or gallery and have it modified and/or duplicated, in the colours of your choice.
3) After several consultations, create an entirely new design.
Consultations are unlimited. They are only finished when you are satisfied with the final design.
Consultations can be done in-person or online, or over the phone. Or all three! I have done consultations entirely in-person or entirely online, and both have been successful.
Remember, you don't have to formally book me (aka 'pay me') for your first consultation. However, if after that point you are happy with how the design process is going and you wish to formally book my services, you must pay the material deposit. This is 30% of the final fee so that I can order the materials needed for the jewellery.

Step 1: ..... design & materials
This is the first 'meeting', or conversation, where I sketch out designs or present photos. At this point I do need to see the wedding colours, and a photo and/or a swatch of the bridesmaid dress. In this meeting the bride and I will discuss materials, colours, styles, and price. An estimate of the final price will be given, along with extras and possible bargains. (Oftentimes I throw in the flower girl jewellery for free! Shhh!)
If the bride is happy with the estimate and the design and wishes to formally book me for her wedding, then we move on to Step 2!
Step 2: ..... Receipt & Final Price, & Material Deposit
This is where we settle on a final price and important dates. The bride will get a receipt that shows the final price, the materials used, and when the jewellery will be completed.
Now the material deposit must be paid. This can be done online or in person. Either way, it is this material deposit that allows the consultation to continue. Once this is paid, I am formally booked for the wedding!
Step 3: ..... Prototypes and finalization
I order in the materials and begin constructing the jewellery. At this point, either the bride and I have a finalized design, or we still have a few to decide from. This period is when I construct prototypes of the designs and present them to the bride, by email and/or in person.
Basically I will keep on making prototypes until the bride is 100% satisfied with the design. I'm also happy to say that all of my previous brides never needed to go further than one or two prototypes!
Once the final design is chosen, there's little left to do except make the rest of the jewellery!

Step 4: ..... Shipping, pickup, and the remainder of the balance
All the jewellery is now completed! Now all that needs to be done is for the bride to pay the balance, which is the remaining 70% of the final price. Then we arrange for shipping or pickup.
There are two options to get the jewellery to the bride:
1) Shipping will cost $10-15 but that includes a tracking number and insurance.
2) We arrange for a pickup! This is ideal, because the bride can see all the jewellery in person, and if she wishes, pay me in person.
